This show... the pacing is awful, the plots are nonsensical, and the main characters have nothing resembling arcs or development at any point.
And yet I can't stop watching. It's utter crack.
Fortunately there's only 17 out of 29 episodes still in existence (lost media is always a sad thing) so it's not the worst time-sink. It is well-acted, for the most part, the remaining film is of decent quality, and it's amusing to see what kind of surprising subject matter it'll touch on next. (Seriously, it's already directly brought up prostitution, satanism, orgies, and incest. Diamanda Hagan keeps insisting that it was intended as a kids' show which makes it all the better.)
Also one episode has Colin Jeavons as the most delightful smol angry gay-coded villain, threatening people with dresses, and I can't stay mad at a show that does that.
